Reconstruction plan of bridge over the Aulella stream that partially collapsed during the night of 10-11 November 2012 April 2020, located in the hamlet of Serricciolo on state road (S.S.) 63 “Cerreto”.

The new deck is a supported truss in a composite steel-concrete system with a single-span, 66 m span, twin beam truss design.

The concrete slab accommodates the road platform and two lateral pedestrian pavements, with a total width of 14.10 m; it is frame worked on the main beams, spaced 9.40 m apart, and on an intermediate pin beam. The slab is cast on 6 mm thick, self-supporting metal predalles, until a total thickness of 22 cm is reached after additional casting.

The beams vary in height from a minimum of 2.00 m in support to a maximum of 2.60 m in span and are connected by means of cross beams with a double-T section placed at a 6.75 m spacing, as well as by an upper bracing with a St. Andrew’s cross pattern.

Assembly of the deck is carried out by lifting the individual beams from below with the aid of a crane truck, after assembly of the segments on the ground and the use of temporary piers.
